Pepe
Pepe the Frog, also known as Pepe or simply Frog, is a NAS meme originating from the 2005 a SNCA comic, the Boy's Club. It was originally used as a frog that was supposed to represent happiness until it became a meme and reached 4chan, 8chan and other s,tes. It was than picked up by le heckin' chuderinos and used as a rightist symbol. Due its natural expression, it quickly became a very popular reaction image meme and became the self inserting material of most imageboard users, and still is used to self insert by a plethora of soyjakkers.
History of Frogposting
Early Frogposting
Frogposting originally began in MySpace, a blogposting platform. Frogs were posted there every now and than, mainly during 2005 to 2006. Nothing important really happened there besides starting the meme.

4chan and Other Imageboards
Somewhere in 2008, the meme quickly spread to other, most prominently 4chan. It was quickly picked up there and used as a self insert blog posting image. Due to the fact that Pepe did not exactly represent emotion, it became a very common reaction image. Since imageboard require images to make a post, it became the norm to self insert as it. It eventually spread to the /news/ board of 4chan (predecessor of 4/pol/), it eventually got the affiliation with the far right and eventually got picked up by 4/pol/ and a bunch of branigger groups.
Frogs and The Soysphere

Of course, the Sharty being a 4chan splinter, it carried a lot of the culture with it after splintering. Even though blogposting was as common, or was accompanied by a soyjak rather a frog in the early ages of the Sharty, Frog posters still existed. Frogposting started as a "Frog Thread" in the Sharty, which didnt do much but it led to basically another frog thread being created once every month. They weren't really relevant until the (((Kuz))) era, which basically lifted the ban on NAS and allowed frog posters to whatever they want, which lead to the idea of self inserting as Pepe emerging inside soyjak posters once again.
